The Divine Escape

The Heroic Display Of Elder Abraham Narteh Saves The Day.

The Ayekotse Church and some members in the district, set off to the memorial of Madam Mary Obeng’s Mother, and the father of our out gone Pastor, Michael Birikorang Baidoo at Anum Boso and Amanfrom respectively.

The expedition instigated in the early hours of Sunday, 18th April, 2021 with two buses full with church members in the district, led by Pr. Prince Omari Koduah and Pr. I F Boateng.

By God’s grace the first destination (Anum Boso ) was reached successfully, despite the quandaries of travelling through bad roads full of pot holes.

However, on the return journey to Amanfrom saw some disastrous moments.

Clouds began to gather in the atmosphere soon after set off from Anum and sooner than later, it started drizzling. Upon reaching Akosombo it was raining cats and dogs as the drivers chose to ply on the Aseseeso, Adukrom stretch.

Few kilometres from Aseseeso, in the mountainous areas on the stretch saw a heavy erosion with some parts of the rocks on the hills washed into the road, blocking and making it impossible for vehicles to move.

The buses were stacked with other vehicles with erosion getting heavy and rising high above the ground.

Many of the members started whispering words of prayers to the Almighty, which was answered immediately through the heroic duty performed by Elder Abraham of the Ayebronmu Church, by walking through the fast-running water to look for appropriate roots for the drivers to pass to escape the wrath of the heavy erosion and the washed rocks on the roads covered by the running water and making the road impossible to drive on.

The members later arrived safely at Amanfrom to extend their sympathy to Pastor Baidoo at his Father’s funeral and later arrived in Suhum around 7:30 pm.

Glory be to God for a difficult but a successful journey.
